ENGINEER'S AIDE TOOLBOX (EPCON)
===============================
This process engineering software has been developed over 20
years and contains calculations for the sizing of pipes (for
liquids, gases, 2-phase, TAPPI stock, plus heat loss calcs),
pumps, fans, compressors, heat exchangers (shell & tube, Alfa
Laval plate & frame heat exchangers) flowmeters (orifices,
venturis, flow nozzles), control valves, relief valves, pressure
vessels, and tanks. It includes the AIChE DIPPR physical
properties database for over 1700 pure components. Also steam
tables, unit conversion calculator, project management tools.

CALDSOFT 6 - SHEETMETAL PLATE DEVELOPMENT
=========================================
Remember the DOS software Boilermaker's Dream? This new
software from Caldsoft, Brazil, is Windows based, far more
powerful than Boilermakers Dream, and does NOT require any CAD
platform like Autocad in order to run. Caldsoft 6 is supplied
with a wide range of predefined component shapes (like cones,
t-pieces, round-to-square, wyes, offsets, splits etc), and the
user can define his own shape. Flextool allows any transition
to be developed onto flat plate, using mouse selected x/y/z
coordinates from the 3D shape. The software produces a flat
sheet pattern from the 3D shapes, and has optimized nesting
routines for multiple cut-outs from a single sheet. Component
weight and cost is calculated, and a drawing is created (which
can be exported as DXF to Autocad or CNC machines). The Super
Transition tool allows a series of developments to be produced
to provide a multistage transition from one section to another.

MATHCAD 12 - MATHEMATICAL TOOLBOX
=================================
An integrated environment for performing and communicating
mathematical functions. Mathcad Version 12 has just been
released, and contains many new features. Mathcad has an
easy-to-use scratchpad interface, instant recalculation, and
version 12 has an open architecture supporting .NET and native
XML format. New Metadata and traceable calculations expand
Mathcad worksheet auditability. Simply insert tags into the
document to leave an electronic trail for finding important
calculations in the source document. XML file format stores
saved results, eliminating the need to rerun long calculations.
Graphic images are compressed and file sizes reduced in XML.
Also, XML allows global unit preferences to be specified. There
are 18 new built-in units, and users can define their own unit
sets. New 2D graph option include a secondary y-axis, and
enhanced legend definitions. Web controls can now be inserted
into Mathcad documents for online execution.
