COMPRESS - Pressure Vessel Design
=================================
Build 6237 (dated 9th November) fixes some minor bugs and adds
improvements in functionality and reporting. Of note is the
addition of braced leg design and a more rigorous ASCE method to
calculate platform wind shear. Users with current Maintenance

ASTM STANDARDS ON CD-ROM
========================
ASTM will be releasing next March the 2005 version of their
Annual Book of Standards, and this is also available in CD-ROM
format. The ASTM Standards are available in 15 major sections
covering all aspects of manufacturing processes. Each major
section is divided into smaller sets (volumes)for specific
industry types and topics. Users can order individual volumes,
or full sets of standards in each major category. For example,
Section 5 - Petroleum Products, Lubricants & Fossil Fuels
includes 817 Standards, 6 volumes, and 7026 pages of text. This
full set can be pre-ordered in printed format or CD-ROM format
for $924 + S&H.
We can also supply individual ASTM standards in PDF format.

NOZZLEPRO 2004
==============
Software for analyzing nozzles on vessels, as well as saddle
supports, pipe shoes and clips, using automated finite element
techniques. A variety of head types are allowed including
spherical, elliptical, ASME dished, conical, and cylindrical. The
program calculates SIFs and flexibilities that can be put back
into a piping program for greater reliability. The new 2004
version is scheduled for release in December, and includes Brick
Cylindrical Intersections, refined Saddle calculations, and Heat
Transfer for Brick Models. Priced at US$2000

AXIPRO 2004
===========
Axi/PRO is a powerful, easy to use axisymmetric and brick finite
element modeler, designed to analyze flanged joints and other
axisymmetric geometries. Bolts, nuts and holes may be included in
the 3D brick models so that users can see the results of hole
spacing on the stress distributions. Dimensionally accurate
flange models including studs and nuts are generated
automatically for six major flange standards. Analysis results
include graphical representations of ASME stress intensities,
resultant bolt axial loads, gasket stress distribution, overall
displacements and flange separation. It allows automatic 3D
models for the following code evaluations: ASME Section VIII,
Div. 1, App2; ASME BFJ; EN 13445. The latest version includes
Steady State/Transient Thermal Analysis, Gasket dimension
database, and improved flange leakage calculations. Priced at

tables, unit conversion calculator, project management tools.

MOLWORKS - Molecular Design Software
This powerful program can be used to build molecular structures,
estimate physical properties (using Joback group contribution
methods), do quantum mechanical calculations(molecular orbitals,
dipole moments), and interface to other computational chemistry
software (Q-Chem, MOPAC, GAMESS, Gaussian. Future development
plans include polymer builder, crystal builder, neural networks
and genetic algorithms, reverse engineering of materials based on
specified physical properties, and database facilities.
