Welcome to the new look Chempute Software Newsletter. This newsletter is published monthly, and brings you news of new software releases, special offers, upcoming training and other items of interest. We invite you to forward the email to colleagues, using the link at the bottom of the email, or to send us their email addresses to be included in future newsletter mailings.

There are links on the left column of the newsletter that have Upcoming Training Course notices, plus links to Chempute's pages on YouTube and LinkedIn.

The CHEMPUTE SOFTWARE YouTube page will feature product videos and demos, which we plan to update regularly. I encourage you to upload your own videos showing how you use our products.

The CHEMPUTE SOFTWARE LinkedIn page provides general information about our company. We plan to add discussion groups for various product categories. These groups will act as a forum for public sharing and discussing of software issues, problems, and solutions. The groups will be open to everyone, so I encourage you to join and participate in the discussions. You don't have to be a member of LinkedIn to view discussions, however, only memberscan comment and will be notified of updates. I encourage you to join this group and contribute.

INTERGRAPH CAESAR II 2011 (5.30)

Intergraph CADWorx & Analysis Solutions group would like to inform you that the service pack 1 for CAESAR II 2011 (5.30) is now available. Intergraph CAS software products are subject to the export control laws and regulations of the United States. Please fill out the product downloads form to download the service pack.

• Corrected the implementation of user specified units in WRC calculations
• Corrected the setup of units conversion factors when acquiring data (such as loads) from output for auxiliary modules
• Corrected the handling of the default "access" templates.
• Corrected the unit conversion of the "flange G" value.
• Corrected "line number" issues including "SaveAs"
• Corrected a "node renumber" problem for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th entries on the auxiliary dialogs.
• Corrected a problem with the "Loop Wizard" when working with "Z up" jobs
• Corrected the "displacement export routine" to properly assign global coordinates to CNodes.

Main Enhancements are:

• General improvements to the PCF interface
• Added coordinate calculations based on specified initial coordinates
• Quick reference guide regenerated for indexing and additional "silent install" switches.

AFT IMPULSE 4.0 - Transient Flow Calculations

A new maintenance release dated May 12, 2011 is available for download by AFT Impulse 4.0 licence holders at AFT IMPULSE 4.0 where you will also find instructions on how to download and install the update.  The update file set includes a 'readme.txt' file providing a description of the revisions in this and earlier maintenance releases.

INTERGRAPH CAESAR II Webinar: Dynamic Piping Analysis in CAESAR II, Modal Analysis.
When: May 26, 2011 at 10am (US Central Time)

Content: This is part one in a series of four webinars on dynamic piping analysis in CAESAR II. This opening session will focus on modal extraction – the first step in most dynamics evaluation and a building block in all modal analyses. A brief review of dynamic concepts used here will be followed by a review of the modal analysis input parameters. The accuracy of the (static input) piping model will be discussed. Finally, using the natural frequency calculation as a simple screening tool for system reliability will wrap up this presentation.
