============================================== NEW SOFTWARE RELEASES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AFT has released new builds during May for a their range of software products for calculation of steady state fluid flow networks for liquids (FATHOM), compressible gases (ARROW), and transient flow in networks (IMPULSE). These programs are very powerful pipe flow analysis tools and are fast becoming industry standard around the world. FATHOM is recommended for replacing our previous PROTOPIPE software. IMPULSE can be used for similar applications as found in the much higher priced FLOWMASTER, and now also includes steady state solvers in addition to transient solvers, since the steady state flow solution is used as the starting point for transient or waterhammer analysis. This includes analysis of crushing, grinding, blending, clinker production, cement production, testing, and a host of other utilities which are commonly used by cement engineers. Priced at US$400. This can be incorporated into your standard office insurance policy. Most suppliers will not replace software free of charge, if your computer or copy protection dongle gets stolen. Software is very often worth much more than the computer that it is used on - try asking your computer hardware supplier to give you a free replacement computer if it gets stolen! So please make sure you have adequate insurance cover for your computer software.
