NEW SOFTWARE RELEASES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TANK Ver 2.1 - Coade's oil storage tank software has been
updated to Version 2.1, which now contains updated design codes,
specifically API-650 10th Edition, and API-653 2nd Edition,
Addendum 3, plus it now includes API-2000 venting calculations.
New CD's have been sent to all users with current Maintenance
agreements.
CAESAR 4.2 - Pipe Stress Analysis Software
Latest Build 000512 (12th May) provides corrections to wind
pressure/velocity tables and unit conversion errors, has
improved Intergarph and Cadpipe interfaces, and corrects a
Cadworx/Pipe valve/flange database access error. Available to
all 4.2 users for download from www.coade.com/fcaesar.htm
COMPRESS Ver 6 - Pressure Vessel Design Software.
Latest Build 6108 (22nd May) has been posted to Codeware's
website at www.codeware.com, and is available to all Version 6
users. New Compress 6 CD's will be sent to all users current
with Maintenance within a few weeks. In addition, the new
Compress module for ASME Division 2 calculations is in beta
release - any current user of Version 6 may contact us for
download details. The Div 2 module will be sold as an optional
extra to COMPRESS.
VESSEL DRAFTER Ver 5.53 for Autocad 2000 (Build 5506) is
available for download from www.codeware.com. Note that Autocad
13/14 users will continue to use Ver 5.52. A separate version
of VDP have been issued for Autocad 2000.
CCOHS Hazardous Materials Databases
The latest quarterly CD updates to the CCOHS range of
occupational health and safety databases have been released.
These will be effective from July 1st, and will be shipped to
all users who have current subscriptions. This includes MSDS,
CHEMPENDIUM, RTECS, NIOSHTIC, INCHEM and others

PROCESS ENGINEERING ONLINE CALCULATIONS
The website below has a large range of on-line calculators for
process engineers and students, that cover fluid mechanics, heat
tranfser, physical properties, rotating equipment, separation
equipment, vessels etc. Although not really intended for
rigorous process plant design, these tools are useful for
getting quick answers to engineering problems.

An online catalogue of physical and thermal properties of
processed hydrocarbon oils, and crude oils from around the
world. Full description of oil property measurement procedures
and standards. Also includes environmental effects of oil

WATER PROPERTIES
Here is a useful free program written by Pablo Coronel, that
provides physical and thermal properties of water in the range 0-
150 degrees C (32-302 F). Program is only 48kb in size, and may
be downloaded from Chempute's ftp site:

Should you require more detailed properties for water, steam and
ice in the range -100 to 800C (up to 1000bar), then we can offer
