NEW SOFTWARE RELEASES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CADWorx 2004 - 3D PLANT DESIGN SOFTWARE A new build has been released for CADWorx 2004 (both PIPE and P&ID). Note that this applies ONLY to CADWorx 2004. The new release has been issued on CD-ROM. This has been shipped to all users of these software programs who have current Maintenance Agreements. ENGINEERING STANDARDS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chempute Software can supply the full range of engineering standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, TAPPI, BS/PD, ADR, IEEE, in either hardcopy (print) format or in electronic format where available (e.g. Acrobat PDF file, CD-ROM etc). We also offer some special standards "packages", such as ASME BPVC "Non-Nuclear", and API Select. API SELECT on CD-ROM - a selection of over 250 of the most commonly used API standards in searchable, printable PDF format on CD-ROM. SOFTWARE TRAINING COURSES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FE/PIPE training in South Africa has been postponed until early 2004, due to staff changes at Paulin Research. The course will probably be for 4 days and will include examples from NOZZLE PRO, AXIPRO, BOS FLUIDS, and SPLASH. Please contact us if you may wish to attend. Cost will be approximately R2200+VAT per person per day, and the course lecturer will be from Paulin Research in Houston. FE/PIPE is used for automated finite element analysis of pressure vessels, piping, nozzles, flanges, legs, lugs etc PVELITE / TANK training. We are looking at arranging a 3-day PVElite training course later this year, as well as a 2-day TANK training course, if there is sufficient demand. Please contact us if you wish to attend this training. The cost will be around R1800+VAT per person per day, and the course lecturer is likely to be Ray Delaforce from Coade in Houston. PVElite is used for ASME/BS design of pressure vessels and vessel components, while TANK is used for API 650/653 design of oil storage tanks. CADWORX training can be arranged to be held at your own offices, and we can customize the training to include assistance with your own 3D plant models and/or piping specifications. FREE SOFTWARE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ KINDIS 1.01 - Kinetic Reactor Simulation KinDis v1.01 is a FREEWARE program that can be used to simulate the degree of conversion of up to six different components (A..F) simultaneously in three different continuous flow reactors (CSTR, Plug flow and axially dispersed plug flow reactors).
