WINDOWS 98/ME/2000/XP
There are several databases available on DVD or CDROM Namely:
MSDS - Material Safety Data Sheets in easy to use database
format (Over 120000).
RTECS - Registry of Toxic Effects of Chemical Substances.
CHEMpendium - Chemical hazard information for
workplaces and the environment.
TOXLINE - References to worldwide literature on chemicals
and toxicology.
OSHLINE with NIOSHTIC - Bibliographic
database which provides comprehensive international coverage of documents on

MSDS
Thousands of organizations worldwide trust our MSDS database as their workplace
resource for chemical hazards information. The MSDS database gives you instant
access to the most up-to-date (approximately 120,000) Material Safety Data
Sheets from 600 North American manufacturers and suppliers. The MSDS database
helps you to comply with Hazard Communication, WHMIS and other right-to-know
requirements.
The MSDSs are contributed by North American sources, many from multi-national
companies which market chemical products world-wide. MSDS records contain
information such as:
- Chemical and Physical Properties
- Health Hazards
- First Aid Recommendations
- Personal Protection
- Fire and Reactivity Data
- Spill and Disposal Procedures
- Storage and Handling
This database meets a growing international requirement for health and safety
information on specific chemical products. It helps thousands of users
world-wide manage their responsibilities under workplace, environmental and
other right-to-know legislation. CCOHS developed the MSDS database in
consultation with major chemical suppliers, as an effective method of
dissemination of manufacturer and supplier MSDSs to users. The MSDS database can
be searched quickly and easily for product names and other product
identification, manufacturer or supplier names, date of MSDS, or any term used
in the text of the MSDS itself.
CCOHS provides its MSDS subscribers with a continuously up-to-date collection,
processing over 40,000 MSDSs each quarter.
CD-ROM BONUS - CCOHS publications about MSDSs and their interpretation are also
included on the disc.
This CD-ROM is updated quarterly, and is available on an annual subscription
basis.
