NEW SOFTWARE RELEASES

PVELITE - PRESSURE VESSEL DESIGN SOFTWARE
A new build (dated 5th August)has been released for PVElite
5.0. Enhancements include, graphical display of diameter
limits, Division 2 Cyclic Pressure Fatigue Analysis, updated
API 579 graphics and many others. The build can be
downloaded from the COADE website:

CODECALC - PRESSURE VESSEL COMPONENT DESIGN
A new build (dated 5th August)has been released for Codecalc
6.5. Major Enhancements/fixes in this build: Updates to
ASME U-tube, Floating, and Stationary tubesheet rules. The
AISC method for Leg baseplate checks is now incorporated.
Other enhancements to the graphics such as zoom and pan have
been incorporated. For flanges the radial spacing is
compared to the TEMA recommended value. The build can be

AFT FATHOM and INTELLIQUIP for AUTOMATED PUMP SELECTION
The latest version of AFT FATHOM 5.0 is now able to directly
transfer pump operating point information to Intelliquip's
web-based pump selector via the Internet. Candidate pumps
can then be transferred back to AFT Fathom where the pump
data can be immediately applied to pump junctions in the
model and saved to the database. This new capability is
included in the latest build of FATHOM 5.0 which can be
downloaded from http://www.aft.com/customer/download/php.

PROKON Vers 2.0 - STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS & DESIGN
PROKON has just recently released version 2.0 of this
modular set of structural design tools. The new version is
activated via the Internet (no more stiffies!), and Vers 2.0
now includes ALL the modules for use in Demo mode, as well
as the modules that were licenced by the end user. There is
a new thumbnail file "previewer", a Windows version of
PADDS, and a graphical modeler has been added to the FRAME
module. There is a new PROKON demo download avaon our
website, which contains only a few selected modules, but
additional modules can be downloaded from the Internet and
evaluated in a limited mode. Download the demo from

COADE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING NEWSLETTER

This popular publication by COADE (Houston) that covers
their range of mechanical engineering software applications
(Caesar, PVElite, Codecalc, Tank, Cadworx) has had Volume 34
released (July 2003). This magazine is only available in
small quantities, and we have already mailed it out to over
100 of our Coade software clients. It can also be
downloaded as a PDF from
http://www.coade.com/newsletters/menlist.htm. Previous
issues are also available for download. If you still
require a hardcopy of the magazine, please let us know, and
we will try to accomodate you if we have any left.

This is a free viewer for sharing of 3D Plant Models
produced by Navisworks ROAMER, PUBLISHER or CLASH DETECTIVE
software. Reads files in NWD and NWC format, and has full
plant walkthrough capability. Download from:

AFT FATHOM VIEWER - Steady State Pipe Networks
This is a free viewer that allows you to open an AFT Fathom
model file, view any of the input data, view specification
windows, run the model, produce output in the form of text
and graphics. The viewer however does not permit you to
edit the model in any way. Download from:
