2010 CADWORX UNIVERSITY CONFERENCE
====================================
This was held in Houston, Texas on 27-29 September. Keynote
presentations by Patrick Holcomb, executive vice president,
Global Business Development, Intergraph Process Power & Marine,
and Thomas J. Van Laan, PE, senior vice president, Intergraph
CADWorx & Analysis Solutions, Inc. during which Intergraph
announced major new investments in product development for
Intergraph CADWorx that will expand upon its position as the
world's number one solution in the AutoCADŽ-based plant design
market. Intergraph CADWorx, along with CAESAR II, PV Elite, and
TANK has created value for users in many industries around the
world. Intergraph is dedicated to its leadership role in all
sectors of the engineering enterprise. Since 1996 CADWorx has
shown itself to be a proven solution that has provided superior
plant design capabilities to the AutoCAD-based plant design
market. Gerhard Sallinger, president, Intergraph Process Power &
Marine, said "Intergraph acquired COADE in early 2010 because we

CADWORX 2011 DISCOVERY TOUR

COADE is sending out three of their senior sales people to South
Africa in October to present the new features of CADWORX 2011.
We will be holding free seminars in Kloof, Durban (26 Oct) and
Sunninghill, Jhb (27 Oct). COADE will also be available for
meeting with individual companies to answer questions about
CADWorx and other Intergraph/Coade software products. Please

SOFTWARE UPDATES
Foundation3D/ Mat3D
===============
Foundation3D is used for designing foundations for industrial
equipment such as horizontal exchangers and vessels, vertical
vessels or towers, pipe racks and other plant supports. It also
has an interface from PVELITE Vessel Design software. Mat3D is
used for soil and pile supported, multi-load point mat
foundations. Version 5.7.0 has just been released for these two
programs. New features include:
* On-screen view of overturning and resisting moments, lateral
loads, soil sliding resistance
* Pile punching shear calculation
* Import of support reactions from MS Excel
* Import of unfactored/factored load combinations from MS Excel
* Deep beam analysis
